DETAILED ITINERARY Ha Giang Loop 8 days Motorbike Tours
Day 1: Hanoi to Lao Cai (train)
Your tour leader will meet you at your hotel in Hanoi and take you to check out the bike. You have free time to explore the hustle and bustle of Hanoi’s old quarter before dinner before you hop on the night train to Lao Cai.

Day 2: Lao Cai – Pan Hou Village (200 km)
Waking up early on the train to smell the fresh mountain air, we arrived in Lao Cai. After breakfast, we set out and headed straight into the brilliant northern mountains of Vietnam. We walked the windy roads up the hill before we passed Bac Ha, which is famous for traditional minority markets. After a great day of the ride, we ended up at Pan Hou Village.

Day 3: Pan Hou – Dao Lodge (Nam Dam Village, Quan Ba) (130 km)
Today, the journey takes us to the far northeastern region of Vietnam near the Chinese border. The remote villages and country roads are the order of the day before we arrived at Nam Dam for a unique vacation in a traditional Dao ethnic village.

Day 4: Dao Lodge – Dong Van (120 km)
Being internationally recognized by UNESCO, Dong Van province has karst geology that is only found in this area. Riding through Karsts, seeing local life unchanged for centuries is an experience you will never forget.

Day 5: Holidays (Choosing to visit Lung Cu Flag & H’mong Palace) (70 km)
Today is a day to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the northern mountains. You can visit Dong Van market or take a short ride and go to the northernmost point of Vietnam and H’mong Kings palace from the French period.

Day 6: Dong Van – Cao Bang (220 km)
We follow sections of Highway 4 that became notorious during the war for independence against the French who wriggled through the mountains before we reached Cao Bang.

Day 7: Cao Bang – Ba Be Lake (126 km)
We go to Ba Be Lake National Park from Cao Bang through spectacular limestone mountains. After arriving in Ba Be, we jumped on a boat and sailed on the lakes to stop at the Pirate Rice shack Pirates to taste the local beer.

Day 8: Ba Be – Hanoi (240 km)
Early in the morning to the sound of rural life, we hopped on bicycles for the last days back to Hanoi. We get out of the mountains into the rice-growing areas of the Red River Delta before touching the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. After checking in to our hotel, we will aim for a final dinner of Hanoi specialties.
